 
        
        Area Manager - Retail at DCK Group
DCK is one of the world's leading fashion jewellery companies, working with many well-known retailers and high street fashion brands. Our hosts include River Island, M&S, Matalan, Tesco and many more.
Locations: Doncaster, Pudsey, Leeds City Centre, Ellesmere Port, Handforth Dean, Manchester Trafford Centre, Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Sheffield Meadowhall, Preston, Bangor NW.
Permanent, full-time position. Monday – Friday, 7 hours per day. Requires a full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as you will travel between multiple stores within the area.
Responsibilities
 * Drive sales through consistently high visual merchandising & operational standards.
 * Develop & maintain a highly capable team – providing induction, coaching & support to ensure the Team Leaders are set up to succeed.
 * Act as first line support to the Operations Team, delivering process efficiencies & business improvement opportunities.
 * Directly line manage a group of Team Leaders, coaching them to achieve process efficiency & high-quality standards in the field.
 * Monitor in‑store standards, sharing best practice amongst the TLs and raising the bar on area performance.
 * Manage escalated host concerns around quality & standards, resolving these within agreed parameters.
 * Proactively identify TL performance improvement opportunities – providing coaching & escalating as required.
 * Hold responsibility for induction – ensuring all new TLs receive a warm welcome into the business & are supported throughout their probation period, providing meaningful feedback & targets for improvement where required.
 * Embed an effective buddy system so that any new TL starters or periods of TL absence are not reflected in adverse zone performance or poor feedback from hosts.
 * Recognize & celebrate great performance.
 * Work with other Area Managers & under the direction of Central Support Teams to identify trends in learning & development gaps & elevate where necessary.
 * Suggest opportunities to drive improvement & efficiency and be actively involved in any improvement work or project.
 * Support the BOMS with delivering field communication, launches and initiatives and obtain meaningful feedback.
 * Work as first line support with the Operations team to embed new ways of working, identifying areas for process & quality improvements & shaping action plans.
 * Work under the direction of the Operations Manager to shape & deliver communication & training.
Requirements
 * Expert in field operations, achieving high standards in their current role.
 * Supervisory experience.
 * Strong communication skills – confident with delivering training.
 * Able to use own initiative to plan their time.
 * Competent with technology.
 * Confident & positive with good interpersonal skills.
 * Proven work experience in retail.
 * Fashion trend aware.
