Overview
Teaching Assistant Level 3 at Dudley Council. 13 hours per week (2 days per week - days of work to be negotiated). 39 weeks per year. Hours of work: 8.45 a.m. to 3.45 p.m. with 30 mins for lunch. Rate of Pay: Grade 5; SCP 7-11. Start date: As soon as possible.
Oldswinford Church Of England Primary School is a friendly and welcoming school with an emphasis on promoting high standards. We are seeking to employ a Level 3 Teaching Assistant on a permanent contract to start as soon as possible. The vacancy is likely to be based in KS1 initially and you will work with children of all abilities in a whole class setting as well as withdrawing individuals and small groups for focussed support.
Responsibilities
* Will work with children of all abilities in a whole class setting as well as withdrawing individuals and small groups for focused support.
* Support learning and emotional needs of children within a primary school setting.
* Assist with delivering high-quality learning opportunities and outcomes for children.
* Be flexible and adaptable, work well under direction, and show initiative where appropriate.
* Collaborate effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school ethos.
Qualifications
* Relevant NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) on a permanent basis.
* High level literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to GCSE grade C or above).
* Experience working in a primary school setting (preferred).
* Ability to support the learning and emotional needs of children.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
