We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time (15 hours per week) Band 7 Highly Specialist Physiotherapist in our Childrens Physiotherapy Team, and we would like you to join us if you have the skills! You will join our well-established Childrens Physiotherapy service which supports children aged 0-19 years and will work in providing support to the Neonatal Unit, linking into the community, across Sunderland and South Tyneside. You will be a key part of our childrens physiotherapy service and will have opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills. You will be predominantly based in our Sunderland site providing care across both Sunderland and South Tyneside areas. As a team we work together to provide the best service we can whilst striving to develop staff who are our key asset to improve patient outcomes. You will have excellent support and be part of a wider AHP neonatal team and the Childrens Integrated Therapy Service team too. You will be keen to drive services forward as we change and develop. Main duties of the job
You will be based in Sunderland as part of our Childrens Physiotherapy team that covers South Tyneside and Sunderland. You will be integral in developing the service to and providing support into the Neonatal Unit at SRH, continuing care by linking with the Community Physiotherapy service. You will be responsible for a wide neonatal caseload. You will have a comprehensive knowledge and experience within paediatrics including pre-term babies and children with complex presentations. You will have experience of Paediatric assessment tools relating to pre-term infants. You will have experience of the Education Health and Care Plans (Children and Families Act 2014), report writing and participation in associated meetings. You will have experience and a working knowledge of safeguarding. You will have the ability to work both within a Physiotherapy team, MDT and wider teams. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a large team with other specialist clinicians. You will participate in and be integral to the clinical supervision, training and education of all staff, including students. You will be required to meet the travel requirements of this Post.
