Job Overview
This is an opportunity to work as an Eating Disorders Practitioner in a multi‑disciplinary community team. The base salary will be negotiable at one of three sites:
* Wirral & West Cheshire Community Eating Disorder Service – Stein Centre, St Catherine's Hospital
* Upton Lea – Bowmere Hospital, Countess of Chester Health Park
* Jocelyn Solly House – Macclesfield
The post may include some hybrid working, but the majority of working time will be based at one of these sites.
Responsibilities
* Work with people who live with moderate to severe eating disorders.
* Specialise in the treatment of Binge Eating Disorder and work with the service to further develop the offer for this client group.
* Assess patients and deliver talking interventions, while identifying and managing complications arising from disordered eating.
* Act as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to ensure high‑quality care for individuals with eating disorders.
* Liaise with other providers and stakeholders to ensure safe and effective treatment.
* Deliver group work to clients with Binge Eating Disorder.
* Attend clinical network meetings and contribute to service development and clinical governance initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional qualification (e.g. Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Counselling).
* Registration with NMC, HPC or accreditation with BACP.
* Post‑qualification study in a specific psychotherapeutic approach (e.g. Post‑Qualification Framework Module, Post‑Graduate Certificate) or willingness to work toward this qualification.
* Knowledge of NICE guidelines and other guidance or policy documents influencing eating disorder service delivery.
* Experience of working in mental health post‑qualification or accreditation.
* Ability to carry and maintain an individual caseload.
* Experience of delivering 1:1 psychological interventions and working with people with eating disorders.

The post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and will require a submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
