About the Role
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and records are updated accordingly.
* Participating in person-centred care planning, implementing, monitoring, and conducting monthly evaluations.
* Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where needed.
* Acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are addressed and concerns or complaints are escalated appropriately.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should embody our values of caring, supportiveness, honesty, respect, and accountability in all your actions.
Our ideal candidate must:
* Hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar care environment.
* Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Possess a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
