The role
As an Engineering Maintenance Technician, you’ll be at the heart of a growing team supporting the development and implementation of processes for the procurement, maintenance and refurbishment of specialist support equipment used in current and future submarine programmes. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national defence while advancing your career in a dynamic and meaningful environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll play a key role in managing and maintaining specialist support equipment, coordinating with subcontractors, overseeing refurbishment projects, and stepping in for the PSSE Manager when needed.
1. Conducting equipment audits and inspections to assess maintenance, repair or refurbishment needs
2. Liaising with subcontractors and overseeing their work
3. Signing off completed subcontractor projects
4. Supporting procurement and refurbishment projects
5. Deputising for the PSSE Manager when required
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office/onsite and 2-3 days working from home.

Qualifications for the Engineering Maintenance Technician
Essential:
11. Level 2–3 qualification in an engineering discipline (BTEC NC preferable)
Preferred:
12. APM Project Foundation Qualification (PFQ) or equivalent
13. Management of Subcontractors training or equivalent
14. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
