3DS Max Epic Urban Modeller We are seeking a 3DS Max Epic Urban Modeller to support a critical stage of the environment production pipeline, delivering high-quality, large-scale urban environments for real-time 3D projects. This role focuses on building and refining Epic-quality city environments—from architectural structures and streetscapes to modular assets and infrastructure—ensuring environments are visually cohesive, technically sound, and optimised for Unreal Engine workflows. This is not a generalist modelling role; it is a specialised urban environment position within a real-time production pipeline. You will be responsible for how urban environments are constructed and experienced: city layout, architectural accuracy, asset density, modular systems, scale, and performance. Your work forms the visual and technical foundation that lighting, camera, and sequencing teams build upon to deliver the final experience. Built Environment | Unreal Engine | Real-Time & Cinematic Visualisation We are seeking an experienced 3DS Max Urban Modeller to support high-end Epic-quality urban environment production across real-time and cinematic workflows. This role is ideal for a seasoned contractor who can step into production quickly and deliver large-scale, performance-optimised city environments for Unreal Engine–based visualisation, virtual production, and architectural storytelling projects. Contract Scope & Responsibilities Model detailed urban environments including buildings, streets, infrastructure, and modular asset sets Deliver clean, optimised 3DS Max assets suitable for Unreal Engine and high-quality renders Ensure strong topology, UVs, texel density, and real-time performance standards Collaborate with lighting, animation, and Unreal teams to achieve cinematic realism Contribute to environment composition, layout, and visual storytelling Work independently while meeting production deadlines and quality benchmarks Essential Skills & Experience Expert 3DS Max experience (10 years preferred), specialising in urban / architectural modelling Proven experience delivering large-scale city environments for real-time pipelines Strong understanding of Unreal Engine optimisation and asset preparation High attention to detail, realism, and architectural accuracy Ability to work efficiently in a freelance / contract production environment Desirable Skills Unreal Engine environment integration experience V-Ray or equivalent rendering for look development Interior and exterior lighting knowledge Python scripting or custom 3DS Max tools Crowd simulation tools (e.g. Anima) After Effects compositing or post-production workflows Experience with large scenes, render farms, or asset libraries Engagement Details Freelance / contract engagement Remote work Competitive contract rates, aligned with experience To apply, please include a link to a current showreel or portfolio demonstrating Epic-quality urban environment work created in 3DS Max.
