Spire Leeds are looking to recruit a Bank Host and Catering Assistant to join their fantastic and dedicated team in the catering department and will cover host duties.
1. Flexibility to work weekends as and when required
2. Working late evenings up til 9pm
3. Adhoc shift patterns - must be very flexible to cover holidays and sickness for the needs of the business
Spire Leeds Hospital, located in Roundhay, Leeds, has been treating patients for almost 30 years. We are the region’s largest private hospital in terms of the range of services we offer and the number of consultants we work with. The hospital offers a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres, a sterile services department, a dedicated endoscopy suite, and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. There are outpatient and physiotherapy departments providing services six days per week
Duties and responsibilities;
4. To work in close liaison with the clinical staff, understanding the special needs of the hospital on a day to day basis
5. Responsible for taking patient meal orders and providing this information to the chef
6. To be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the equipment provided, checking for faults and supply shortages and reporting them to the line manager
7. Compliance with all Health and Safety at Work regulations including COSHH
8. Work with guidance on moving and handling, as identified in corporate and local policy and discussed at Mandatory training sessions.
9. Quality assurance and patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
10. Using your previous waitressing / waiting experience, you will ensuring meals and beverages are delivered to patients’ rooms
11. Responding to any ad-hoc requests from patients to ensure their comfortable stay
12. Assisting the catering and housekeeping teams with day-to-day duties

14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
15. Previous experience in hospitality
16. Able to work as part of a team
17. Willing and able to complete mandatory training for COSSH, Manual Handling, Infection Control and Health & Safety in-house
