Our client is a prestigious international law firm known for their corporate and finance practices, and they are looking to hire an experienced Resource Manager (work allocation) to join their wider team on a permanent basis.
Key responsibilities
* Balance the needs of clients, the business, and the career aspirations and wellbeing of the resources.
* Support the mobility of people or work across the global firm as part of a globally networked Resource Management function.
* Proactively support change management and embed the resource management function where it is new to the practice group to ensure KPIs are met and ROI is delivered.
* Provide expert knowledge and advice on work allocation.
* Solve complex work allocation problems and anticipate business challenges, advising stakeholders on solutions and preventative measures.
* Develop an understanding of alternative talent pools to resolve resource shortfalls.
* Maintain a broad appreciation of supply and demand across the global firm to drive mobility where possible.
* Build relationships with key stakeholders and the wider HR team; act as a trusted advisor and advise on trends and capabilities.
Qualifications and experience
The Resource Manager should have in-depth work allocation experience. Ideally, candidates will have worked for another law firm or have been a lawyer previously; candidates from wider professional services will also be considered. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, understand the needs of the business, and act with both client and staff interests in mind.
