Brackenberry is working in partnership with Cardiff Council Childrens Services, recruiting experienced Qualified Social Workers (3+ years PQ) to join their CASP, Child Protection, PLO, and Court teams. Rate Of Pay:£38.15 per hour
Available Teams
* Intake Team managing new referrals, assessments, and short-term interventions
* Locality (Long-Term) Teams working with families under CP, PLO, and Court proceedings
* Child Protection / PLO / Court managing complex safeguarding cases, ensuring child safety and permanence planning
What Youll Be Doing
* Hold and manage complex caseloads across Child Protection, PLO, and Court proceedings
* Work in line with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, focusing on prevention and partnership
* Apply the Wales Safeguarding Procedures, ensuring all childrens welfare is a shared priority
* Engage with children, families, and multi-agency professionals to deliver robust, child-centred interventions
* Contribute to Court reports, risk assessments, and care planning, while maintaining accurate case records
* Receive regular monthly supervision, access to training, and support from experienced PSWs and managers
What Were Looking For
* Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience in childrens services
* Experience working within Child Protection, PLO, Court, or Long-Term Locality Teams
* Strong working knowledge of Welsh legislation and safeguarding procedures
* Committed to improving outcomes for children and building relationships with families
* Excellent communication, assessment, and analytical skills
* Registered with Social Care Wales
* A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
