We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Watford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with pupils at a crucial stage as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into more formal learning. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. You will create a structured yet nurturing classroom environment that encourages independence, confidence, and a love of learning. Strong phonics knowledge and early literacy skills will be highly valued. You will use assessment effectively to track progress and inform planning, ensuring all pupils are supported and challenged appropriately. Differentiation will be central to your teaching, particularly for pupils with SEND or EAL. Collaboration with colleagues and support staff will be essential to providing a consistent and inclusive learning experience. This role is suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers who are passionate about Key Stage 1 education and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
