Additional Resourced Provision (Full Time) Primary Teaching Assistant - Portsmouth Location: Portsmouth Start Date: Feb 2026 Contract: Long-Term (potentially permanent) Institution: KS1/2– Pay: £88.50-£100 per day About the Role We are seeking a Teaching Assistant with SEND experience to work with those with additional needs which may include escalated behaviour and avoidant learning within an APR unit within a large Primary school in Portsmouth. This rewarding role involves supporting students with autism and additional needs both 1:1 and in small group settings, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential. The Additional Resourced Unit supports students to learn regulatory skills and access learning in a supportive environment in order to reintroduce them to the mainstream classrooms. Some children will be part time whilst others will be full time students of the unit, The role will be starting after the February half term with the school looking to make the position permanent for the right person.
