Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - Health Visitors to join our 0-19 Universal Children Services. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated practitioner with initiative and drive who is keen to contribute to the further development of our service. The 0-19 services are an essential component of the community’s health, wellbeing and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
Responsibilities
* You will be given a SG supervisor and will have regular 1-to-1s and appraisals to support your learning and development in practice.
* You will be supported to work agile within the locality using the central children’s hub and spoke hot desking areas, in addition to home working.
* You will be expected to demonstrate effective leadership skills, managing your own caseload and supporting junior staff members and pre‐registration students within the workplace.
* You will be expected to work within the multi‑agency arena and must have the necessary skills to challenge and question decision‑making.
* As part of this process you will be expected to contribute and formulate supportive outcomes for children and families both autonomously and in the multi‑agency arena.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated high level of communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and professionals and to tailor communication appropriately.
* Ability to work within a multi‑agency setting, challenging and questioning decision‑making constructively.
* Capacity to manage a caseload independently and to support the development of junior staff and pre‑registration students.
