Role Overview
We’re currently instructed by a national, specialist law firm with a strong reputation in the employment law space to assist in the recruitment of an Associate Employment Solicitor for their Manchester office.
This is a permanent, full-time position within a well-established and growing employment team, known for handling a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters for both insured and private clients, including complex tribunal claims, advisory work, and internal HR procedures.
You’ll be part of a Legal 500-recognised team working on a diverse caseload of high-quality matters within key sectors such as Health & Social Care and Leisure & Hospitality.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
The team are seeking:
* A qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years post qualificationexperience in employment law, covering predominantly tribunal litigation work.
* Conducting proceedings in the Employment Tribunal on behalf of insured or private clients. The work is exclusively Respondent.
* Bringing or defending appeals in the Employment Appeals Tribunal (EAT) and if necessary beyond.
* Advising on ACAS Early Conciliation, HR advisory issues, grievances, disciplinary, and settlement agreements.
* Assisting in the drafting of employment law material for use by colleagues or clients
* Assisting in the presentation of courses in employment law for the benefit of colleagues, clients or prospective clients
* Assisting colleagues in other departments by, where necessary, conducting disciplinary or grievance hearings or investigations
