* Experiencing typical scale-up challenges such as immature commercial structure, billing, compliance, insurance, and account management issues.
* Several deep dives completed; theres now a strong understanding of existing pain points and opportunities.
* With the current CEO stepping away, theres an opportunity to reshape the business and bring in senior commercial leadership.
Strategic Goals:
* Transition from a founder-led scale-up to a mature, scalable SaaS business.
* Implement operational control across customer excellence, sales, and account management.
* Build an end-to-end commercial model supporting internal delivery and growth.
* Focus on stabilising the UK market first, then explore international expansion into France and the US.
Purpose:
To own and deliver the commercial strategy across all customer-facing functions, professionalise operations, and support the transition to a scale-ready organisation.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute commercial strategies across sales, account management, and customer success.
* Structure and manage client delivery, operations, and team accountability.
* Oversee compliance, billing, and service delivery performance.
* Collaborate with product leadership to align market needs and operational insights.
* Establish performance tracking, forecasting, and reporting frameworks.
* Operate as the day-to-day commercial lead, supporting the founders transition to a product-focused role.
* Support long-term international expansion, with a primary focus on stabilising the UK business.
Experience:
* Deep experience in SaaS commercial leadership, especially in growth-stage or scale-up environments.
* Proven track record leading customer-facing teams in founder-led businesses.
* Comfortable in ambiguous, high-growth, non-corporate environments.
* Ability to implement structure and processes across sales, customer success, and operations.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including with founder personalities.
* Able to quickly adapt and gain traction in fast-moving organisations.
* Based in the UK, with immediate focus on the UK market.
Team Structure:
* Direct reports include Head of Sales, Head of Accounts, and Customer Excellence leads.
* Reporting line is into the product-focused founder.
* Works closely with internal leadership on future organisational structure and delivery oversight.
