Key Responsibilities:
Support the Designer in identifying all highway consents needed as part of the design of the works within the scope.
Ensure highway consents comply with any relevant U&As, gathering and reporting information to prove compliance.
Manage and monitor the status of all highways consents through their lifecycle, ensuring roles and responsibilities are correctly allocated.
Review design submissions content and provide feedback based on technical requirements and CGB expectations.
Liaise with Highway Authorities, Third Parties, and HS2 during the consents process, managing and chairing pre-application discussions.
Notify HS2 of potential disputes or unreasonable actions that could delay the consent process.
Make all Highways Consents submissions to the CGBs, including the discharge of conditions and recording responses and approvals.
Update all Highways Consents information within the smartCONNECT system, including documentation references, progress commentary, and forecast dates.
Job Requirements:
Civil Engineering degree (BSc)
Highways experience, including drainage and consents
Experience in leading complex teams, subcontractors, or consultants
Experience working in large infrastructure projects
Working knowledge of NEC3 Contracts
Relevant CSCS certification (White; White/Yellow; Red - Experienced; Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor)
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
