This role involves working in the Year 6 class, mixing general TA duties while supporting children with special educational needs. The position requires a compassionate individual who can hit the ground running. Day-to-day of the role: Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs within the Year 6 class.Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and adapt support as needed.Facilitate social and academic inclusion in classroom activities.Employ strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.Prepare learning materials under the guidance of the teacher.Assist with the general well-being of students during school hours. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN students.NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent is highly desirable.Strong understanding of the needs of children with special educational needs.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to problem-solving.
