Join Our Team as a Planning Manager (Major Projects)
Are you ready to make a significant impact at the world's most efficient single-runway airport? We are on the lookout for a Planning Manager (Major Projects) to join our collaborative team. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in delivering a substantial investment plan aimed at enhancing our airport infrastructure and facilities.
Your Mission
With projects ranging from £50m to £350m, including the impressive International Departure Lounge (IDL) and a £140m extension to Pier 6, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our airport. Working closely with our Programme Manager, your focus will be on developing, implementing, and delivering effective planning and assurance processes across a programme of projects typically valued over £150m.
What Will You Do?
As a key player reporting to the Lead Planning Manager, you will:
* Create and maintain comprehensive schedules for the entire project lifecycle, managing everything from concept to closeout.
* Lead and manage planning teams, applying your expertise across multiple projects to achieve our strategic goals.
* Contribute to the growth of the planning team by developing standards and mentoring team members.
* Review the Programme, assist in trend and change processes, and find innovative ways to enhance efficiency.
* Uphold world-class health, safety, and environmental standards across the programme and its contractors.
What Are We Looking For?
We need someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses:
* Experience as a Senior Planner on multi-year infrastructure projects, typically over £100 million.
* A track record of leading small teams effectively.
* Extensive experience with Primavera P6 and strong commercial acumen.
* Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
* Proven leadership abilities, with a knack for motivating and coaching others.
