Position Summary
Part time permanent Consultant in Orthodontics – an enthusiastic colleague who will continue to provide excellent care in the friendly atmosphere of our orthodontic department at York Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Run treatment and new‑patient clinics at York Hospital.
* Participate in the Orthognathic and Orthodontic/Restorative MDTs.
* Carry out the full range of orthodontic consultations and treatments appropriate for secondary care.
* Supervise the registrar, specialist, and therapist based at York.
Proposed Job Plan
* Based in York.
* Fortnightly Wednesdays – 2 clinics including supervision.
* Weekly Fridays – 2 clinics including supervision (either Orthodontic treatment clinics or joint MDT clinics with Maxillofacial Surgery/Restorative Dentistry when these run monthly).
* 3 hours per week of remote triage.
* SPA/Admin time included.
Qualifications
* Entry on the relevant GDC Specialist Register – CCST (proposed CCST date must be within 6 months of interview).
* OR has passed the ISFE in Orthodontics or will have successfully sat the ISFE within 6 months of the interview date.
