We're Aegon. We're a company of ambitious, positive problem-solvers who get things done. We're a team, not a group of individuals. Collaboration is our life force, and we believe it's our duty to leave things better than we find them.
We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Savings, Investments.
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract / secondment.
Reporting to our HR Support & Advice Manager, this role will be responsible for managing a team of HR coordinators, who play a vital role in supporting colleagues & line managers from across the business on the full employee lifecycle, HR administration and onboarding activities for new colleagues.
As our Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring that our core people services are delivered to a high standard whilst ensuring a high level of customer service for stakeholders at all levels across our business.
You will be continuously reviewing process improvements across the function whilst leading, coaching and delivering outputs for the team, ensuring all SLA’s and KPI’s are met and managed effectively.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
1. Managed a team of HR/People service colleagues to a high standard and in line with an agreed quality model/service measures.
2. Experience of reviewing and redefining employee lifecycle/HR support processes, with a focus on continuous improvement to ensure a positive experience for all colleagues.
3. Implementing change processes to a HR support function, with a clear focus on enhancing services based on colleague feedback.
4. Strong experience of managing a team previously, ensuring a high level of engagement and energising colleagues to deliver to the best of their ability and providing strong performance and development for direct reports.
5. Strong experience of working with HR technology, utilising Workday or similar HRIS/Payroll/ATS systems previously.
6. A passion to provide a high level of customer service for stakeholders at all level.
What’s in it for you?
7. A competitive salary from £38,500, depending on the experience you can bring
8. A non-contributory pension between 8%-12%
9. A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance
10. 34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)
We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our staff live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
We ask everyone to be brave, raise their game, deliver first time, help others, and act in everyone’s best interests. If you recognise yourself in this, we’d love to hear from you.
The legal bits
We’ll need you to confirm you have the right to work in the UK. If we offer you a job and you accept, there are some checks we need to complete before you can start with us. This will include a credit and criminal record check, as well as providing satisfactory references.
