This rewarding role focuses on supporting students' wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, and personal development. As a Pastoral Officer, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, promoting positive engagement with school life, and ensuring every student has the support they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities Providing pastoral support to students on a one-to-one and small group basis Monitoring attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and student wellbeing Building positive relationships with students, families, and external agencies Supporting students facing social, emotional, behavioural, or attendance challenges Working closely with teaching staff, safeguarding leads, and senior leaders Implementing strategies and interventions to improve student outcomes Maintaining accurate records and contributing to pastoral reports and meetings Requirements Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational, pastoral, youth work, safeguarding, or support setting Strong communication and relationship-building skills The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting young people Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
