An opportunity exists for suitable individuals to work within the Facility Operations as a Catering Assistant at St Michael’s RC Primary School, Clumber Street, NE4 7RE.
Position: 1 x 10 hours per week – 11:30 to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. Salary: £12.60 per hour.
What we are looking for:
Reliable and friendly people with a positive attitude to join our School Meals team as a Catering Assistant. No experience necessary, as full training will be provided. Various hours and locations are currently available.
About the role:
Working as part of a team and using your own initiative, duties include washing catering equipment, general cleaning of the kitchen, assisting the chef with food preparation, and maintaining hygiene standards within service deadlines. You will also help with tidiness and presentation of the service area, serve food to children, and provide brief descriptions of meals. Additional tasks include cleaning the dining room, setting up furniture, and clearing away equipment. The role involves regular stooping, bending, lifting, and carrying.
This post involves regulated activity. Successful applicants will undergo additional recruitment checks, including a DBS check, police information check, and barred list check. It is a criminal offence for barred individuals to apply for jobs in regulated activity.
