Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Essex Location: Essex Contract: Full-time Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated individual passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and committed team in Essex. About the Role: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You’ll work closely with teachers to plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons, support pupils with additional needs, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Requirements: GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above in English and Maths A current DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential Desirable: HLTA qualification Previous experience working as an HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant If you have the experience, enthusiasm, and commitment to make a real difference in children’s education, we’d love to hear from you — even if you don’t yet hold the HLTA qualification but have strong classroom experience.
