The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading organisation within the Defence sector, based in Staffordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex, high-value programmes that contribute directly to national security and critical infrastructure.
You will be responsible for delivering projects across the full lifecycle — from concept and bid support through to execution, commissioning, and close-out — ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage defence projects in line with contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
* Manage project risks, issues, and change control processes
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership
* Ensure compliance with defence standards, governance frameworks, and quality requirements
* Monitor project performance and report on KPIs, milestones, and financials
* Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned across project delivery
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within the Defence, Aerospace, or highly regulated engineering environment
* Strong understanding of full project lifecycle management
* Experience managing budgets, commercial contracts, and stakeholder relationships
* Knowledge of risk management frameworks and structured governance processes
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Eligible for UK Security Clearance
