We are partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit an experienced Buyer to join their Procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys influencing commercial outcomes at the early stages of the supply chain process.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage new tenders across the supply chain from enquiry through to production order launch.
2. Review and assess RFQs to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with customer expectations.
3. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, rebates, and long-term agreements to secure optimal commercial outcomes.
4. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
5. Challenge and manage supplier cost increases while driving cost reduction initiatives.
6. Ensure supplier delivery performance meets minimum 99% OTIF adherence.
7. Reduce purchase price variance (PPV) and manage pricing variations alongside Commercial teams.
8. Support new vendor setup and ensure correct terms are agreed and documented.
9. Update procurement systems with accurate vendor, pricing, and lead time information prior to production launch.
10. Collaborate cross-functionally to support new product introductions and ongoing procurement activities.
11. Escalate unresolved supplier or commercial issues to senior leadership where appropriate.
About You
12. Proven experience operating in a Buyer or advanced procurement role.
13. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence commercial decisions.
14. Experience managing RFQs and supplier selection processes.
15. Highly detail-oriented with strong organisational and analytical capability.
16. Comfortable working in time-sensitive, production-driven environments.
17. Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
18. Strong commercial awareness with a focus on cost control and supplier performance.
