We are looking for a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Worker to join our King's Mill Hospital team in Mansfield.
You’ll:
1. Completion of tasks either as part of the reactive or planned work programme to a high standard associated with Trust sites.
2. Complete documentation as part of the record systems management requirements.
3. Undertake a variety of works which could include one or all of the following:
4. Maintenance on the Dialysis Ward. Daily recording and inspection of water systems, changing of service filters, salt levels and free chlorine tests, softener inspection and regeneration if required.
5. Maintenance in the Operating Theatres. Cleaning and replacement of primary and secondary air filters, checking theatre lighting including operating lamps.
6. Maintenance of the building fabric. Inspection of doors and closing devices in all areas including Theatres.
7. External site services and infrastructure. Inspection of main drainage system, cleaning/unblocking and working with the specialist contractors, replacement of pipework and drainage fittings.
8. Boiler house maintenance.
9. Assisting with the maintenance and testing of the fire alarm systems and attending when alarms are activated.
We’re looking for:
10. Have a recognised NVQ level 2 in Mechanical Engineering
11. Fit and able bodied in order to undertake the tasks involved.
12. Hold a full UK driving licence.
13. Possess basic computer literacy skills.
14. Possess knowledge of building services and general building maintenance.
15. Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within building and building services maintenance.
16. Evidence of working within acute health care premises would be advantageous (but not essential).
