Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant to join this secondary school in Haringey. This is a full time, long-term role starting in September for the academic year 2024/2025. There will be scope for a permanent job offer.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for the below:
Managing behaviour and following the schools behaviour policy
Supporting students in class, small groups and on a 1:1 basis
Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
Collaborating with staff, parents/carers, and outside agencies
Monitoring and recording student progress and achievementsTo join us and be successful in this role you will need:
Previous experience working with children who have SEMH needs
Strong behaviour management skills
Patience and resilience
An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
