About the Role:
We are thrilled to invite a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our inspiring and friendly team at FCA Midlands. This is your chance to make a real impact in the lives of children and families across Birmingham, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, and surrounding areas.
With a flexible hybrid working model, you’ll enjoy the freedom to balance office collaboration with working from home, while occasionally traveling to our regional head office in Bromsgrove.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Supporting foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
* Monitoring the suitability and competence of foster parents to ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
* Providing regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
* Collaborating with the child's network to identify needs such as respite, activities, and therapy.
* Ensuring compliance with all key documentation for children and foster parents.
* Attending meetings and providing reports for Commissioning Teams.
* Promoting the participation of children/young people in agency development and community resources.
* Participating in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
* Conducting occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
What You Need to Succeed:
* A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
* Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
* Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
* A full driving licence.
