Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team, specializing in missile architecture within the defence sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing and reporting reliability predictions, conducting Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and supporting the preparation and management of Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Plans and Cases. This role requires SC Clearance and British nationality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reliability Predictions: Produce and report reliability predictions, with a focus on electronic systems
* FMECA: Conduct and report FMECA, particularly for electronic systems, and interact with Test and Testability Architecture to assess test coverage
* Reliability Requirements: Derive reliability requirements to ensure system reliability and performance
* R&M Plans: Support the preparation of R&M Plans to outline reliability and maintainability strategies
* R&M Cases: Support the management of R&M Cases, including the collection and collation of extended data sets (test evidence, design assessments, etc.), and author R&M Case Reports
* Fault Tree Analysis (FTA): Produce FTA, especially for electronic systems, to identify potential failure modes and their impacts
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
* Experience: Proven experience in reliability engineering, particularly within the defence sector
* Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in reliability prediction and analysis techniques, and excellent communication abilities
* Security Clearance: Must be SC Cleared and a British National
Rate: Competitive Outside IR-35
