MSH Healthcare is looking for compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Dementia Care Assistants to join our growing team in Barrow-in-Furness and surrounding areas. As a Dementia Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's unique needs, routines, and preferences. You'll help people maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while offering reassurance and companionship that truly matters.

Your Role May Include:

• Delivering specialist dementia-focused care in clients' homes
• Supporting with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner
• Assisting with medication administration and reminders
• Encouraging engagement in meaningful activities and routines
• Providing emotional support and companionship
• Supporting nutrition, hydration, and daily living tasks
• Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns
• Helping reduce anxiety and promote a safe, familiar environment

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Client Preference is a female for this package due to the personal care requirements
• Experience supporting individuals living with dementia
• Dementia qualification, training, or demonstrable dementia care experience
• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and observational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be 18 years or older
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check

Desirable:

• NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
• Dementia Care Certificate or equivalent dementia-specific training
• Previous experience in domiciliary care, community care, or residential dementia care
