MTrec Commercial are proudly representing out highly successful and reputable client on their search for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their expanding team on a full time permanent basis. The role you will be doing;
Arranging Transportation
Booking Cargo Space on Ships or Planes.
Providing Shipment Tracking and Updates
Resolving Any Issues That May Arise During the Shipping Process
Facilitating Secure Payment and Billing Processes for Shipping
Submitting and Providing Guidance on Shipping Documents
Consolidating and Deconsolidating Shipments
Compliance with Regulations, Safe Transportation, and Reliable Communication
You will be working Monday
Friday 9am
5pm and on call on rotation applicable (1 in every 6)
About You;
2 or more years of experience in the transport industry, preferably freight forwarding
Competence in working with Microsoft Excel and Word and Outlook
Able to work under pressure and manage a diverse workload and meet deadlines
Enthusiastic team player who also has the ability to work as an individual
Good interpersonal skills for working with a range of colleagues and customers
General skills in maths and English
The Ideal candidate will be driven, proactive, customer focused and highly motivated with a confident telephone manner, have some sales experience as well as experience in the transport sector, excellent attention to detail and great organisational skills.
You will play a vital role in the development and retainment of new and existing business.
The successful candidate will have a proven history of working in a similar role within the freight forwarding industry dealing with road freight, sea and air freight experience is also desirable.
