Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. NMC registered Nurse (Advanced Diploma/Degree in Adult Health Nursing) or HCPC registered ODP (Dip (HE) Operating Department Practice)
2. UK Recognised Anaesthetic Qualification Essential
Desirable criteria
3. Learning and Assessing in Practice (or equivalent teaching/mentoring qualification)
Knowledge
Essential criteria
4. Working knowledge of basic operating department routine and surgical specialties undertaken
5. Understanding of the surgical patient pathway through the hospital
6. Anaesthetic knowledge and skills
Desirable criteria
7. Immediate Life Support/ Paediatric Immediate Life Support Qualification
