The Role:
The Site Agent will manage the construction site to achieve project delivery aligned with customer objectives while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control.
They will deliver multiple ongoing projects to the specified quality, schedule, and maximum commercial performance.
The post-holder will work closely with the Project Manager, Commercial Department, engineers, and surveyors to ensure projects are completed safely, with customer requirements and expectations maintained or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
* Site Management
* Maximize the commercial performance of the contract
* Responsibility for successful project delivery
* Ensure work is delivered safely and without environmental incidents
* Deliver work to the specified quality standards without defects
* Develop and implement Project Plans and management plans in line with company procedures
* Create procurement schedules and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate resources
* Manage client interface and stakeholders
* Deliver end products to customer satisfaction
* Control costs and maximize project value
* Maintain detailed site records and diaries
* Drive cost reduction and challenge the status quo
* Identify and highlight value engineering opportunities
* Produce accurate monthly reports for clients and internal use
* Chair weekly site meetings following company procedures
Key Skills and Experience:
* Management experience in construction, specifically in MEP packages and/or utilities
* Growing knowledge of commercial and contractual aspects
* Experience working in cost-conscious environments
* Experience managing subcontractors
* Stakeholder management experience, including clients
* Strong relationship-building skills with external parties
* Extensive MEP technology knowledge and experience
* Problem-solving skills in construction
* Excellent communication skills
* CSCS card holder
* Experience working at Heathrow Airport or in critical areas
* Experience in international organizations
* Membership in an MEP institution or equivalent
