Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
* Plan and deliver a broad and balanced PE curriculum, including a range of sports and physical activities.
* Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students.
* Organise and contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and school competitions.
* Encourage participation and inclusion for students of all abilities.
* Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
* Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student achievement and wellbeing.
Candidate Profile
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Experience teaching PE at secondary level is preferred.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for physical education and sport.
* Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse abilities and interests.
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Willingness to contribute to extracurricular sports and school events.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
