36.50 hours plus banked hours
We are looking to appoint a permanent Administration Assistant to join our existing administration team at Aston Tower Community Primary School.
The successful candidate must:
* Be highly motivated and want to make a difference to the pupils of Aston Tower.
* Have prior office administration experience, ideally within a school environment.
* Have the interpersonal skills needed to provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact to parents, visitors, and colleagues.
* Be able to work in a busy environment and efficiently undertake a variety of tasks.
* Be highly competent in using ICT packages.
* Have experience of using databases; a good knowledge of SIMS would be an advantage.
* Be able to work on their own initiative.
Qualifications relevant to an administration role would also be an advantage.
Aston Tower is a popular two-form entry school that underwent a highly successful Ofsted inspection in October 2024, which identified the school as working at an ‘outstanding’ level. We have also been awarded the Leading Parent Partnership Award. The school features well-kept modern premises set in spacious grounds and has recently opened a resource base for pupils with Special Educational Needs following approval from the Department for Education (DfE).
