Job Summary
Bradford Council is seeking to appoint Youth Support Workers who will support on the delivery of the Youth Offer as part of an area team, working multiple evenings each week.
There are 5 positions available for unqualified and 7 Qualified.

Main Responsibilities
•Build positive relationships with young people aged 11–19 (and up to 25 with disabilities) to help them feel supported and engaged.
•Work directly with young people to broaden their horizons and involve them in positive, meaningful activities.
•Support the design and delivery of youth work based on equality, participation, education and empowerment.
•Help develop a youth offer shaped by young people’s voices and tailored to their needs.
Essential Skills
•Basic IT skills, with the ability to handle, interpret and communicate information clearly.
•Willingness to learn and improve, suggesting better ways of working when appropriate.
•Understanding of issues affecting young people and how to support them effectively.
•Ability to help young people work well together in groups and build positive relationships.
