Your new role
The Management Accountant will take ownership of month end reporting, statutorypliance and financial analysis across a diverse portfolio of activity. You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure accurate reporting, support funding submissions, maintain robust controls, and contribute to process improvements across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver timely month end reporting, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
2. Assist with preparation of management accounts, project reporting and periodic forecasting.
3. Prepare VAT returns, pension submissions and assist with statutory accounts.
4. Act as a key contact during external audits, ensuring smooth delivery of audit evidence.
5. Support procurement processes and provide assistance with AP/AR when required.
6. Maintain and enhance financial controls andpliance procedures.
7. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes and systems.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
9. Minimum 2 years’ post qualification experience in a management accounting role.
10. Strong experience with finance systems (, Sage, ERP).
11. Advanced Excel capability (pivot tables, formulas, automation tools).
12. Confidentmunicator able to present financial information clearly.
13. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpretplex financial data.
14. Proficient across MS Office.
Desirable
15. Experience working within a mufti entity, project driven or grant funded environment.
16. Exposure to continuous improvement or finance process development.
