Aspiring Clinical Psychologist – Primary SEN School Location: Brixton, South London Start Date: ASAP / Flexible Contract: Full-time | Long-term Pay: £108 per day About the Role A welcoming and well-resourced Primary SEN School in Brixton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Aspiring Clinical Psychologist to join their specialist support team. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate or experienced SEN practitioner looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience supporting children with complex additional needs. The school supports pupils with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop emotional regulation skills, and build positive relationships. Key Responsibilities ✅ Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support tailored to individual EHCP targets ✅ Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and social communication ✅ Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted and engaging learning activities ✅ Help implement therapeutic and sensory approaches within the classroom ✅ Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing ✅ Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals Ideal Candidate ✔ A Psychology graduate or aspiring Clinical / Educational Psychologist ✔ Experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs ✔ Calm, resilient, and nurturing personality ✔ Strong teamwork and communication skills ✔ Genuine passion for mental health, child development, and inclusive education ✔ Commitment to a long-term role Why Apply? ⭐ Gain valuable clinical-style experience in a specialist SEN environment ⭐ Work alongside experienced teachers, therapists, and behaviour specialists ⭐ Develop skills in behaviour support, communication strategies, and therapeutic approaches ⭐ Excellent preparation for careers in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Counselling, or Teaching ⭐ Ongoing agency support and professional development opportunities If you are looking to build a career supporting children with additional needs and want to make a real difference every day, we would love to hear from you.
