Accounts Assistant We are working with a leading manufacturer to recruit for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to be part of their finance team. This is a permanent job based in Greater Belfast. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation and will be reporting into the Finance Director. This position is perfect for someone looking to develop their skills in finance and gain hands-on experience within a supportive environment. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for: Assisting the Finance Manager with the day-to-day activities of the finance team as required. Preparing and submitting monthly CIS and RCT Returns Preparing VAT returns Responsible for Bank and credit card reconciliations including the processing of sundry payments and receipts. Ensuring all invoices are accurately coded and posted to the ledger Reconciling supplier statements Preparing the weekly payment run Dealing with supplier queries in a timely manner What you will need to have for the Accounts Assistant role: Previous experience within an Accounts role Experience of invoicing and credit control Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritise work in a fast-moving environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
