At Norwich, we embrace cross-disciplinary creativity through the use of traditional, digital, and emerging technologies. To support this, we offer a wide range of high-quality workshops and technical resources, enabling students to explore both material and digital approaches to achieve their creative goals.
We are seeking a technically skilled and creatively motivated individual to join our Fabrication Technical Team. In this role, you will provide expert support in 2D/3D CAD, helping students produce work using 3D printing, laser cutting, and digital rendering. You'll work across architectural design applications including Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, supporting digital production workflows.
The role involves working across CAD labs, 3D printing and laser cutting areas, large-format printing, and a model photography studio.
You will primarily support students from our Architecture and Interior Design programmes, helping them achieve design outcomes through both digital and traditional methods. There will also be opportunities to work with students across a range of creative disciplines, supporting their technical and practical development.
We're looking for a technically minded individual who can deliver equipment and software training to groups and individuals, helping students build the skills and confidence to work independently and effectively.
We welcome applicants with transferable skills in other CAD and rendering software, along with experience in 3D printing, laser cutting, and model making.
If you are a motivated and creative professional with strong technical expertise and a commitment to personal development, we'd love to hear from you. You'll be a friendly and approachable presence in our creative community, empowering students and supporting their creative journey.
