We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Registered Manager to lead our residential care team. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our service, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and individualised support, while fostering a collaborative and thriving team.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

* Provide inspirational leadership and day-to-day management for our dedicated team of support staff.
* Cultivate a positive, empathetic, and professional team culture focused on continuous improvement and shared goals.
* Mentor and develop team members, identifying training needs and fostering their professional growth.
* Effectively manage staff rotas and resources to ensure optimal service delivery and team well-being.

Care Delivery and Planning:

* Lead the development, implementation, and regular review of dynamic, person-centred support plans that address the unique emotional, social, and developmental needs of each child.
* Champion a safe, positive, and therapeutic living environment that actively promotes their growth, well-being, and independence.
* Empower children in their journey towards independence by equipping them with essential life skills and fostering their confidence.

Compliance and Safeguarding:

* Ensure the home operates in full compliance with relevant legislation, including safeguarding protocols and Children's Homes Regulations.
* Proactively complete regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of care and identify opportunities for continued improvement.
* Lead on all safeguarding matters, ensuring all incidents are reported, documented, and addressed promptly and effectively in line with procedures.

Collaboration and Coordination:

* Build and maintain close collaborative relationships with external professionals, including social workers, healthcare providers, therapists, and educational provisions, to deliver holistic and integrated support.
* Maintain open and transparent communication with families and guardians, ensuring their involvement and keeping them informed where appropriate.

Administrative and Operational Oversight:

* Manage budgets, staff rotas, and resources efficiently to ensure effective service delivery.
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive records and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Ensure staff training is current and relevant, including safeguarding and therapeutic approaches.

What You'll Bring:

* Extensive and demonstrable experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
* Proven ability to lead, motivate and inspire teams to deliver exceptional care and achieve positive outcomes.
* A current understanding of safeguarding principles, child protection procedures, and relevant regulatory frameworks within children's care services.
* Ability to develop and implement individualised support plans with a clear focus on achieving positive outcomes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport and effectively liaise with children, families, staff, and a range of external stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving skills and resilience, with the ability to handle challenging situations with a calm and solution-focused approach.
* Knowledge of therapeutic and trauma-informed care methods.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role within children's residential care or a closely related setting.
* Possession of a relevant professional qualification, such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care or an equivalent recognised qualification.
* Experience leading and managing teams and providing care for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.
* Additional training in therapeutic or trauma-informed care approaches is highly desirable.

Ready to Make a Real Impact?

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a dedicated team and make a lasting positive difference in the lives of children. If you are a passionate and experienced leader who thrives in a supportive and rewarding environment, we strongly encourage you to apply.
