Salary: Support Staff Pay Scale F: £26,217 to £28,439 pro‑rata per annum (Actual) (£28,598–£31,022 full time/full year equivalent)

Working Weeks: 41 weeks

Start Date: June 2026

We are looking for an energetic, resilient, solution‑focused Behaviour Lead to join our pastoral team and serve as the first point of contact for families. Key responsibilities include:

* Work every day in a child‑focused way to find solutions for our most vulnerable pupils to succeed.
* Provide immediate support for behavioural incidents.
* Plan and timetable appropriate nurturing and supportive interventions.
* Write behaviour risk assessments and positive behaviour plans.
* Liaise with parents and external agencies to ensure support for individual children.
* Act as an Alternate Designated Safeguarding Lead and attend multi‑agency meetings as required.
* Manage the behaviour team to ensure preventative strategies are in place.
* Work with the SENDCO and SLT to drive a culture of brilliant behaviours and attitudes across the academy.

Essential qualifications:

* Good numeracy/literacy skills; minimum GCSE in English (grade C or above) or equivalent.
* Experience working with primary students who require nurture support and behaviour management; training will be provided as necessary.
* Ability to evaluate students’ behaviour and apply techniques to de‑escalate challenging situations.
* Experience engaging with families and interacting well with all stakeholders.
* Experience with safeguarding or willingness to train and learn.
* Leads by example and is solution‑focused.

Desirable: 

* Norfolk Steps / DSL training or willingness to undertake training.
* First Aid training.
