Assistant Factory Co-Pilot - (Princes Gate)
Location – Narberth, Wales
Salary up to £38,000 (depending on experience) plus potential bonus and excellent Benefits inc pension/ 25 days holiday + additional 12 days flex days and study support.

Position Summary
We are currently recruiting for talented individual to join our Finance Team as Assistant Factory Financial Controller, reporting into the Factory Financial Controller onsite.

A day in the life of an Assistant Factory Controller
You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive financial support service to the factory and the Factory Financial Controller. You’ll provide visibility of all costing related situations through controlling variances and delivering value-adding insights, in line with financial legal requirements and Nestlé audit standards.
Key responsibilities
* Provide support on all CAPEX & Fixed Asset related activities including the validation of financials, management of AUC balance and Fixed Asset Register accuracy
* Proactively challenge assumptions to drive cost improvements across the factory by supporting cost saving improvement projects through identification, review and validation of proposed and actual savings
* Provide visibility and forecasts around all factory costs through analysis and reporting of monthly actuals and dynamic forecasting
* Participate in the month end process including journals, reconciliations, and monthly reporting
* Ensure cost objectives for the factory are achieved by identifying and promoting cost reduction initiatives to the Factory Controller and management team
* Lead and coordinate the factory ACE (Annual Cost Estimate) in conjunction with the Factory Controller, including developing forecasts and simulations
* Identify and drive cost improvement opportunities through financial insight and benchmarking
* Support the Factory Controller on best practice implementation to demonstrate robust internal controls around assets and liabilities
* Develop the factory’s understanding of financial data and support development of financial capabilities among staff
* Support the factory’s NCE journey aligned to the UK&I strategy
* Be a custodian ensuring compliance across all financial aspects for the factory
* Deputise for the Factory Financial Controller as required
What will make you successful?
You will be part or fully qualified Accountant with breadth of Finance experience. You’ll have a strong aptitude for solving problems creatively and suggesting new ways of working. You’ll have excellent attention to detail and understand how decisions impact the wider business strategy. You should have strong communication skills to influence across levels and build cross-business relationships. Flexibility to prioritise work in a sometimes ambiguous environment is crucial, and you’ll be results-focused and curious.
