Excellerate Bioscience Ltd are currently seeking highly motivated candidates with an in vitro pharmacology background to join our team. We offer a dynamic team environment, working in partnership with our clients to provide flexible solutions from early-stage target identification to late stage detailed mechanism of action studies, across a range of different drug target classes and disease areas.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Scientist and member of a pharmacology group, you will work as part of a team to develop cell-based, biochemical or pharmacology assays to enable quantitative and rigorous characterization of complex protein-ligand interactions at the molecular level to aid target identification, validation and lead optimisation strategies in support of drug discovery programs across a variety of target classes.
Skills and Experience
* A BSc / MSc focused on biochemistry, cell biology, pharmacology, immunology or related discipline (Essential). Previous industrial or research/academic laboratory experience would be advantageous.
* Familiarity with one or more of the following areas: a) Compound Profiling/in vitro assay development, b) Receptor Pharmacology c) Protein‑protein interactions d) Cellular Pharmacology e) Immunology.
* Familiarity with methodologies such as cell culture, cell signalling assays, reporter assays, western blotting, molecular biology.
* Knowledge of working with semi-automated liquid handling systems.
* A strong ability to problem‑solve and take the lead on project work when needed.
* Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills.
