We’re excited to be recruiting a hands-on, driven EHS Specialist to help protect our people, our plant and our environment within a regulated chemical manufacturing site. Reporting to the EHSS Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading compliance, strengthening our safety culture and driving continuous improvement across EHS and Process Safety Management. This is a highly visible position with genuine influence across operations, engineering and site leadership. What You’ll Do You’ll ensure full compliance with COMAH, environmental permitting and corporate standards, acting as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and leading site governance activities. Key responsibilities include: Leading regulatory compliance, reporting and Responsible Care requirements Managing environmental permitting, waste compliance and sustainability initiatives Conducting risk and COSHH assessments and deploying effective mitigation plans Owning accident prevention programmes and emergency response readiness Leading incident investigations and delivering robust corrective actions (CAPA) Supporting and auditing ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 management systems Acting as SME for Process Safety Management (PSM) and Management of Change (MOC) Analysing EHS data to drive performance and continuous improvement Delivering training and positively influencing behavioural safety across site This is a collaborative, site-based role requiring daily engagement with operations, engineering and leadership teams. About You Proven EHS experience within chemical manufacturing, ideally COMAH-regulated Strong knowledge of UK safety and environmental legislation Experience in risk assessment, COSHH, incident investigation and root cause analysis Exposure to environmental permitting, waste management and/or process safety (desirable) Experience auditing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong risk-based decision-making skills Confident communicator able to influence and drive behavioural change IT literate (MS Office; SAP knowledge advantageous) At Diversey, we foster a culture built on diversity, inclusion, well-being, flexibility, and respect.
