Key Responsibilities
You will lead on the Children and Young People agenda, providing specialist public health expertise to commissioners for the newly recommissioned 019 service. This includes working with the local LMNS, contributing to specific CYP workstreams, and working closely with the portfolio holder for children and young people to drive delivery of CYP priorities within the Council's delivery plan. You will also have oversight of the mental health portfolio, working alongside commissioners for public health‑funded mental health services and partnering with Coventry City Council to deliver a joint suicide prevention programme.
In addition, you will provide public health leadership and technical expertise to South Place, one of our three place‑based partnerships, acting as the Public Health lead. This will involve close collaboration with district and borough councils across the south of the county.
Strategic responsibilities include leading all aspects of mental health, harm reduction, substance misuse and statutory aspects of the Children and Young People and maternity agenda including the 0‑19 Public Health Nursing service. Provide strategic leadership for the County's Mental Health and Wellbeing offer, the wider CYP public health offer, and the South Warwickshire Place Partnership. Take responsibility for ensuring delivery of public health prescribed and non‑prescribed services to local residents.
