About The Role
We have a brand-new opportunity for a Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team based in Glasgow. The Glasgow office was established in 2016 and now houses key sector expertise supporting projects across the UK. We are keen to speak with candidates with experience in commercial, residential, and mission-critical projects. You will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high-quality service for clients and develop repeat and new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery of the electrical design services for multi-disciplinary projects across a number of building sectors.
* Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
* Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders; attend project meetings and translate the brief within the project team. This is a client-facing role.
* Work with the team leader to monitor fee expenditure, resources, and work delivered.
* Mentor and support our ‘next gen’ professionals, including apprentices and graduates.
About You
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
* Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex projects.
* Experience of modern technical delivery processes, and use of relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux.
* Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors/architects in a design-oriented/consultant role.
* Self-awareness, an open mind, and a spirit of generosity.
* Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence.
