Up to £35 per hour depending on skills and experience

Senior Radiographer/Mammographer (Bank)


As a Senior Radiographer/Mammographer, you will:

* Have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent)
* A postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable)
* Have an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike
* Be respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients and visitors
* Have a proactive and forward-thinking approach to work
* Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion
* Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities


Main duties and responsibilities:

* Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.
* Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
* Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities.
* Supervise and develop junior colleagues.
* To work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.
* Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme.
* Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
* Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and can report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy.
* Competency in intravenous cannulation and administration of contrast media is essential.
* Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
* Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.
* Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
