Job Title: Trade & Compliance Administrator Division: Sales & Service Location: Blyth (Hybrid) Department: Trade Compliance Hours: 37.5 per week About the Company Our client is seeking a Trade & Compliance Administrator to support its Trade Compliance function across the UK and Ireland. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical operations that ensure compliance with international trade regulations in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The Role The Trade & Compliance Administrator plays a key role in ensuring that import and export activities meet all regulatory and internal compliance standards. You'll provide administrative support to the Trade Compliance team and work closely with internal departments and external partners to manage documentation and reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Trade Compliance team Liaise with internal stakeholders and external agents to track and manage import/export documentation Check import and export declarations for accuracy and consistency Follow up on outstanding amendment requests and shipment records Maintain up-to-date and organised compliance files and documentation Support the preparation of internal and external audits Assist with Trade Compliance projects as required Review export order management reports against customs reports to ensure alignment Use compliance tools and systems, including: SAP and Product Info systems Person Specification Education & Qualifications: A-levels or equivalent preferred Experience: Background in an administrative or business support role Exposure to logistics, import/export, or trade compliance (desirable) Skills & Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good time management and ability to prioritise Comfortable working independently and using initiative Strong verbal and written communication Ability to handle confidential information appropriately Working knowledge of SAP is an advantage Team Environment The Trade Compliance department is made up of 11–13 team members, covering areas such as: Imports and Exports Goods Classification Country of Origin Documentation and Compliance Projects The team provides shared support across multiple departments within the organisation's UK and Ireland operations.
