Engineering Manager – Baggage
Salary: From £59,795 + £4,750 Flex Allowance + Up to 20% Bonus + Benefits

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Engineering Manager – Baggage, to help us redefine what is possible for our Engineering team.
Role Overview:
This role is responsible for delivering a safe, efficient, and resilient Baggage System, which handles one of the three major flows within the Airport (the others being aircraft and passenger). You will be accountable for ensuring high levels of system safety, reliability, and availability of this critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the Baggage Engineering team of skilled Technicians to execute maintenance plans.
* Ensure optimal performance of Baggage assets, including performance improvements to enhance system availability.
* Promote a strong EH&S culture to reduce incidents and ensure a safe working environment.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders such as GAL teams, Airlines, and handling agents.
* Manage costs and contracts to stay within operational budgets.
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree in engineering preferred; HND with significant experience accepted.
* Proven leadership in promoting health and safety culture.
* Experience managing and developing baggage systems and teams.
* Ability to lead failure investigations and identify root causes.
